The HB-3000 is a manual weight loaded Brinell hardness tester for measuring the Brinell hardness of non quenched steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals and softer bearing alloys. Five test force levels of 187.5, 250, 750, 1000 and 3000kgf cover a hardness range of 8-450HBS and 8-650HBW, with dwell times of 12, 30 or 60 seconds. The rigid cast frame, large weight loaded lever system and 20x reading microscope make the machine reliable and easy to operate in busy workshops. It is used in metallurgical plants, machinery factories, industrial laboratories and technical schools, and also handles hard plastics and bakelite.
